YARD LOCATION & INFRASTRUCTURE
St. Kitts is located in the Northern Leeward Islands and part of a Federation with its sister island Nevis. The 68 square mile island forms an important hub between the yachting destinations in Northern Caribbean such as St. Maarten, Antigua, BVI and the USVI and those in Southern Caribbean such as Guadeloupe, Martinique, Barbados and Trinidad.
Indigo Yachts is located along the Southern shoreline of the capital city Basseterre, next to the deep-water port and in close proximity to the National Coast Guard Station and Sea


Ports Authority.


The facility, which spans 27,500 square feet, features a large building that borders on the waterfront allowing easy lift and launch of vessels. A custom designed hydraulically powered and submersible vehicle with adjustable hydraulic lifting rams and four-wheel independent steering is used for lifting and launching large catamarans. The building further houses an 80 ft long vacuum-moulding table for the lay-up of high-technology vacuum bagged composite panels, a comprehensive woodworking machine shop, a mould shop with a fully fitted spray lay-up facility, and a dedicated paint spraying shop.


SERVICES & CAPABILITIES


New construction
Indigo Yachts principally designs and constructs new vessels. We are traditionally geared to the construction of day charter sailing catamarans and wave piercing catamarans, yet recently we have also ventured into the power catamaran market. Our first prototype 'Infinity 8' is a 26 ft power catamaran developed in co-operation with Stimson Yacht Design and Mr Tim Ballard. Further designs for 32 ft and 40 ft power catamarans are on the books. Our innovative designs are of high quality and characterised by resourcefulness.
Major repairs & refits
We also provide repair and refit services to boat owners. The yard can host a total of three 65 ft catamarans; two in covered space and still provide sufficient free space for smaller boats. Aspects of vessels can be re-designed and constructed if desired.


Emergency repairs
Indigo Yachts can accommodate stranded boat owners. We have a large stock of highly specialised marine hardware and materials if required for emergency repair. We will even send our staff members to the docks to assist in repairs if necessary. You can reach us on VHF channel 16 call sign 'Indigo Yachts'.


Re-spray
Boat owners can equally count on Indigo Yachts to provide high-quality re-sprays and anti-fouling. Indigo Yachts has in-house specialists trained in spraying of Awlgrip products. However, boat owners may of course specify the paint of their choice and our team will ensure a perfect result.


Hurricane storage facility
The Caribbean is a hurricane sensitive area of the world, and boat owners know this all too well. Indigo Yachts provides limited hurricane storage space for those boat owners who wish to haul their vessels out. The hurricane storage contract also provides for maintenance services on vessels while stored at the yard. Please contact us for storage rates & general conditions.
